About the Soul

Bring my soul out of prison that I might praise Your name; (Psalms)

Our Soul was designed as the connection with our creator who is spirit.

When disconnected from our spiritual source, it is still intuitive, but imprisoned and unable to fulfill it's original purpose.

The soul, when connected to God, is a source of revelations, guidance and communion with the God of perfect love. Informing our mind, it is the source of wisdom and wonders.

When disconnected, we lose our spiritual insights and communion with our creator. Our mind and the world around us become our only sources of knowledge and insight. Our soul is imprisoned and longing to fulfill it's original purpose. No matter how we try we cannot satisfy this longing of our soul. There will always be part of us which is frustrated and unfulfilled.

We try to satisfy ourselves with money, friends, intimate relationships, food, fame, drugs, alcohol, status, superiority, other spiritual connections, religion etc, but none are effective. None leave us completely satisfied or fulfilled.

Only the reconnection of our soul with our Spirit Creator can ever fulfill this emptiness.

Jesus described the reunion of our soul and His spirit in these words; "I am the true vine, and my Father the vine dresser. ...Abide in Me, and I in you. As thye branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me." (John)

So we see that our fulfillment and complete satisfaction does not come in the education and domination of our mind, but in a spiritual reconnection between the Holy Spirit of God and our soul, regenerating our spirit, soul and body. "This hope we have as an anchor of the sooul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." (Hebrews)

Here the Presence of our creator is described as behind a veil, because unless we are reconnected we cannot see, hear or experience communion with our Spirit God. We have only awareness of our physical existence and none of our spiritual potential.

When Jesus body was crucified, the veil in the tabernacle was torn from top to bottom. Spiritual reconnection is now possible. Peace, fulfillment, reconnection with our spiritual purpose are once again available. Not the establishment of a religion, the re-establishment of our communion with our loving creator.

Peter writes "Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul," because Peter understands that all persuits to satisfy the inner emptiness and lack of peace will fail and are escapism from the one remedy, spiritual reconnection with eternity, the Spirit Creator God of limitless Love.

Paulwhen writing to the Thessalonians says "Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." This word sanctify relates to the removal of sin (separation from God) and being fully and intimately reunited with the Holy God through His Holy Spirit dwelling in and being allowed full guidance over our lives. All guilt and fear is removed, and our life is completely restored and fulfilled.

Our soul is fully satisfied.

"As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs after You.

You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship you.

You alone are my strength and sheild

To you alone may my spirit yeild.

You alone are my hearts desire and I long to worship You"
