The Purpose of God
Adam (Man) and Eve (Woman) lived in Eden - the presence and dwelling place of God. This is where they were created to live. They were disconnected when they chose the desires of their own mind and flesh over the needs of their spirit. Their Soul disconnected from the Life Spirit of God.
Exodus 25 God states His purpose again..."And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I might dwell among them." He was making this promise as he commissioned the building of the Tabernacle of Moses.
1 Kings 6 in commissioning the Temple of Solomon He says "And I will dwell among the children of Isreal,"
When the tabernacle (Tent) of Moses was completed Exodus 40 records "Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the Glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle and Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the Glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
God desires and created a people with and in whom He can dwell and fellowship. His purpose in raising any temple or tabernacle is to establish a dwelling place (Eden) on earth that is filled with all the fullness (Glory, wonder and Majesty) of God. A place where the maifest presence of God, the tangible, experiential manifestation of all His fullness can be experienced by mankind for company, fellowship and creation.
Rick Joyner in his book "Shaddows of things to come" says "The Bible follows a consistent path that leads to a certain conclusion: the establishment of God's Kingdom on this Earth." Revelation 7 .. "Therefore they are before Him day and night in His Temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them."
Jesus is raising that spiritual temple. John 2 "Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up."
Moses was given specific and detailed instructions by God how to build the Tabernacle so that God could dwell among His people. Moses built the tabernacle and God appeared and dwelled among His people.
King David restored the tabernacle according to the instructions and God showed up.
God's presence among us (Revival) is not a matter of begging Him to show up,
Build His House, according to His instructions, and He Will Come!!
God's entire plan is to restore the people He created to fellowship with Himself, restoring and fulfilling the unfulfilled needs of all mankind, is they will accept Him.
This is not religion, but the restoration of all mankind to their original condition and purpose, fulfilled in their relationship and fellowship with their creator. The soul reconnected in the Spirit to God.
